Revolution in insurance at KRUS – no need to be at the examining doctor's

Simplified procedures, faster decisions - about the revolution in adjudication for the insured is written in the service of the Agricultural Social Insurance Institution (KRUS). Medical adjudications, which form the basis for granting benefits in KRUS, are now issued without the need for a visit and examination of the insured farmer. The medical commission makes a decision based on the provided medical documentation. These changes came into effect on October 10 thanks to the amendment of the regulation of the Minister of Agriculture. "Our adjudication will take place remotely and this is very good news for rural residents," explains, quoted in the KRUS statement, Prof. Dr. Hab. N. Med. Łukasz Wicherek, the chief physician of KRUS. As he adds, previously, issuing a decision on granting or refusing a benefit was associated with the patient's presence at the examining physician, often even multiple times.
