According to a report by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in November 2025, Vietnam exported 320 thousand tons of rice, earning 169.8 million USD. In the first 11 months, rice exports reached 7.5 million tons and 3.83 billion USD, a decrease of 11.5% in volume and a drop of 27.7% in value compared to the same period in 2024. These figures reflect the overall picture of the global rice market, which is currently subdued following import restrictions by the Philippines, a long-standing major rice consumer for Vietnam. EXPORTS OF RICE DECLINE SHARPLY IN BOTH VOLUME AND VALUE In the first 11 months of 2025, the Philippines remained Vietnam's largest rice market, accounting for 39.8% of the market share.
