According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, rice production in Brazil is expected to increase by 2.5% in 2024, with a higher harvested area and slightly lower average yield. However, bean production is projected to decrease by 3.6% compared to the previous year. Cotton production is also expected to decline by 3.0% with a decrease in planted and harvested areas. Sorghum production is estimated to decrease by 10.0% in most regions, except the Northeast where a slight increase is expected.
