The Stavropol Territory has seen its first organic producer, Naryzhny A.A., receiving certification for the production of oat flakes, food bran, and oat flour by Roskachestvo. The certification signifies that the production adheres to Russian organic standards, thereby avoiding the use of pesticides, mineral fertilizers, and other agrochemicals. This move is anticipated to cater to the growing demand for organic products, with Naryzhny planning to certify additional products and supply them to large manufacturers like Nestle Russia LLC, Progress JSC, and Danone Russia JSC. The certification is offered for free to small and medium-sized businesses this year, and the registered manufacturers can label their products with the 'Organic' sign.
