Apple imports to Russia have seen a stable performance with a 5.6% increase in pome fruit supplies, including apples and pears, compared to the same period in the previous year. As of November 11, 2024, Russia has imported 545.3 thousand tons of these fruits. This increase follows the Russian Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to make up for reduced domestic apple harvests due to frost damage by importing additional apples from friendly countries. The final apple harvest forecast for 2024 has been revised upwards to 1.6 million tons, exceeding the average of the past five years.
