In the first four months of 2021, Russia saw a significant increase in agricultural exports to Japan, with the total value reaching $ 95 million, a double from the previous year. This increase was primarily driven by a 3.2-fold rise in frozen fish exports, mainly frozen sockeye salmon, and an increase in herring and frozen cod supplies. Corn also contributed to the growth, with a 46% increase in exports. Additionally, there was a notable growth in sea urchin exports, tobacco products, and the resumption of fish fillet supplies. The Agroexport center anticipates that by 2030, Russia's agricultural exports to Japan could reach $ 2.5-2.8 billion, including products like frozen fish, crustaceans, grain crops, and meat products.
