Russia donates vegetable oil, peas and corn to Zimbabwe

/TASS/. The Russian Federation has provided humanitarian aid to the Republic of Zimbabwe in the form of a batch of vegetable oil, peas and corn. The official handover ceremony took place in the city of Chewi (Masvingo Province). 164 tons of vegetable oil, 559 tons of peas and 3,145 tons of corn were immediately distributed among 154 thousand people in need after the ceremony. The humanitarian action was carried out with the assistance of the UN World Food Program. "We express our sincere gratitude to the people of Russia and the government of the Russian Federation for this generous gift," said Ezra Chadzamira, Minister of State for Masvingo Province.
