Nikolai Birulin, an expert on market analysis and forecasting for Russian pig producers, said in a commentary article by the Russian Federation's Agricultural Products Export Development Center (Agroexport) that in the second half of 2022, export activities of Russian pork products to Southeast Asian countries have partially or fully resumed.

Exports of Russian pork products to Vietnam will increase by 95% compared with 2022.

In the first half of this year, Vietnam spent nearly $626 million importing pork, chicken, beef and buffalo meat.

Among them, in the first five months of this year, Vietnam’s chilled fresh pork and frozen pork imports reached 29,000 tons, with a total value of US$74 million, a year-on-year decrease of 20% and 6% respectively.
