The article reports on the commencement of the safflower harvest in Kayseri, Turkey, as part of a project collaborating the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Kayseri Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. This initiative, which offers a 75% grant, has seen a significant increase in safflower cultivation in the region, with the total planting area expanding from 4,500 decares last year to over 20,000 decares this year, representing a 500% growth. The harvest is being carried out by farmers who planted saffflower seeds, with some planning to sell the surplus for profit. The provincial director has set a goal for Turkey to rank among the top three in safflower production.
