Since the start of 2024, Ukraine has introduced 719.3 thousand young fish into its reservoirs, according to the State Fisheries Agency. This includes 408.5 thousand crucian carp, 213.4 thousand carp, and 48.3 thousand brook trout, among others. The Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions received the largest numbers, with 355.3 thousand and 191.4 thousand specimens respectively. Other regions such as Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia, Lviv, Kyiv, Poltava, and Sumy were also stocked. These figures cover the spring-summer period, with more stocking expected in autumn.
