This year, more peaches and nectarines will be harvested in Europe than last year, thanks to significant yields in France, Italy and Greece. In Spain, on the other hand, there is less fruit on the trees due to the bad weather in spring. The Commission's report, analyzed by the Spanish producer organization Fepex, states that the total yield of peaches and nectarines in the EU will increase by 3% in 2022 to 3.4 million tonnes, which is, however, 9% less than the five-year average.
