Released every two years by the Empresa de Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural do Rio Grande do Sul (Emater-RS), the 2025 fruit and vegetable survey shows advances in the production of Rio Grande do Sul despite the climatic and economic challenges faced by the state's farmers. In fruits, the production reaches 2.88 million tons, an increase of 8.6% compared to the last report from 2023. The sector's revenue reaches R$ 13.4 billion and the planted area already totals 140 thousand hectares. Among these, the main highlight is the grape for the industry, with a cultivated area of 42 thousand hectares in a production that reaches 839 thousand tons, with an estimated commercialization value of R$ 1.4 billion.
