As of October 14, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have sown 4,083.2 thousand hectares of winter crops. This represents 62% of the projected areas.
Winter crops for grain are sown in all regions of Ukraine.
Specifically, the following has been sown:
winter wheat – 2,821.2 thousand hectares;
winter barley – 222.0 thousand hectares;
winter rye – 54.8 thousand hectares.
Among the leaders in sowing grain crops are Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions.
985.3 thousand hectares of winter rapeseed have been sown. The largest areas are in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Mykolaiv regions. Currently, farmers in 13 regions have completed the sowing of winter rapeseed.
