Spain has already surpassed the first month without reporting new outbreaks of contagious nodular dermatosis, a disease that affects only cattle. The last confirmed case was on October 22 in the municipality of Castelló d'Empúries (Girona), according to the Veterinary Health Alert System (RASVE). Thus, the total number of outbreaks reported so far in Spain is 17 since it was first detected at the beginning of October. All of them have been concentrated in the province of Girona and, specifically, very focused in the Alt Empordà region (Figueras).
