Mahmoudreza Khalili has discussed the impact of the current year's spring rains on Saveh's horticulture and agriculture, with a focus on pomegranates. While the rains have helped alleviate water stress, the region is still in a drought, leading to limited water resources for agriculture. Khalili emphasized the dependence of Saveh's agricultural life, especially pomegranate orchards, on the Ghadir Dam. He noted that recent heavy rains, while damaging, helped replace spring irrigation. However, the quality of Saveh pomegranates is negatively affected by the drought, leading to longer irrigation intervals and potential tree damage. Khalili suggested that the overflowing of Ekbatan Dam upstream of Al-Ghadir Dam could increase the dam's inflow, potentially relieving tension downstream.
