The Stavropol Territory in Russia has expanded its vegetable oil exports to six new countries, including the UAE, China, Qatar, Nepal, Lebanon, and Senegal, increasing its foreign economic partners to 23. The region, known as the largest agricultural base for sunflower cultivation, saw a 1.5-fold increase in fat and oil product exports in the first half of 2021, reaching over 30 thousand tons. Stavropol's export products are distributed across more than 60 countries, with a strong presence in the former CIS, the Middle East, Africa, and in recent years, Southeast Asia and East Africa. The region is also expanding its reach in Haiti, the Maldives, the Philippines, Ghana, and Mozambique.
