The 2025/26 sugarcane harvest in Brazil is expected to reach 663.4 million tons, a 2% decrease compared to the previous cycle, according to Conab. The planted area saw a slight increase of 0.3%, reaching 8.79 million hectares, but average productivity dropped 2.3%, estimated at 75.45 t/ha. The decline is attributed to adverse weather conditions at the beginning of the cycle and the occurrence of fires in some regions. In the Center-South, the main productive hub, the harvest is underway, but drought, heat, and pests require immediate management adjustments.
