The average sugarcane productivity in the Central-South region shows a 6.5% drop this season compared to the previous season, according to the Sugarcane Technology Center (CTC). From April to September this year, an average of 77.7 tons per hectare was achieved, 5.5 tons per hectare less than the 83.2 tons per hectare of the previous cycle.
