The Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) is participating in the investigation tasks of a crude oil spill in the municipal district of Calasparra and its possible effects on the Hydraulic Public Domain (DPH), since the spill occurred on a private property near the course of the Quípar River. From the first moment, the technicians and environmental agents of the basin organization have moved to verify for now the non-affectation to the DPH in the course of the Quípar River, as it is located about 1.8 kilometers from the scene. The Confederation personnel have taken the necessary samples to analyze how it may be influencing the underground water mass near the point of the pipeline rupture. Later, when the results of these analyses are available, an assessment will be made on the impact on underground waters, according to sources from the basin organization.
