Ten educational centers in the Region are participating this academic year in a pilot training program about Murcia Paprika with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), with the aim of bringing young people closer to the process of cultivation, production, and transformation of paprika. The activity, organized by the Ministry of Education and Professional Training and the Regulatory Council of the Protected Designation of Origin Murcia Paprika, will reach 1,000 students in fifth and sixth grade of Primary Education. Counselor Víctor Marín, along with the mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, visited today the CEIP Ciudad de Begastri, which participates in this project. The activity consists of a day that begins with a talk and a video about Murcia Paprika with PDO, and a practical activity where each student plants their own ball variety pepper plant and can take it home.
