Thailand's raw sugar exports are projected to reach a record high of 2.15 million tons in the first quarter of 2025, as per international analysts Czarnikow, subject to no delays in the season start and logistical issues. However, Czarnikow has revised its sugarcane production forecast for the MY 2024/25 season to 105 million tons, down from 111 million tons, due to lowered yields. The US Department of Agriculture's agricultural attaché in Bangkok anticipates that Thailand's raw sugar exports will more than double to 5.3 million tons in the MY 2024/25 season, contributing to a total sugar export volume of 10 million tons, provided India maintains export restrictions and Brazil's exports decrease.
