The 2026 budget enters parliament

According to the schedule of the Committee on Agriculture in the National Assembly - on Thursday during its session, the deputies will discuss the Draft Law on the State Budget for 2026. The draft budgets of the State Social Security (SSS) and the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) are to be discussed at first reading on Thursday as the first and second items, the deputies decided. The proposal to include the draft budget of the SSS was made by Desislava Taneva from GERB-SDS, and for the NHIF initially by Desislava Nikolova (GERB-SDS). The presiding officer of the session, Kostadin Angelov, did not allow the request of Nikolova to include the draft budget of the Fund to be voted on, as it was submitted after the deadline set by the rules of procedure of 18:00 hours.
