Egypt: The application of the contract farming system to corn, soy, and sunflower crops

Dr. Hoda Ragab, Director of the Center for Contract Agriculture, visited the governorates of Beheira, Dakahlia, Gharbia, Ismailia, East Ismailia, Qalyubia, Nubariya, Minya, Beni Suef and Fayoum to promote the cultivation of maize, soybean, sunflower and sesame crops, in order to provide raw materials for oils and fodder, within the framework of the state’s interest in strategic crops and raising the proportion of Self-sufficiency in natural oils and reducing the import bill.
