The Canary Islands' Ministry of Agriculture will allocate 128,620 euros to compensate farmers for losses due to drought, affecting 47 farmers who grow strategic crops like olives, grapes, and potatoes. This aid, from the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and agro-industrial transformation, will be directly distributed to the farmers without requiring them to apply. The funding aims to support the continuity of agricultural activities, reduce the socioeconomic impact on rural communities, and promote the recovery of the agricultural sector.
