The cattle market closes the week with a rise in the heifer price.

The report "Tem Boi na Linha," released by Scot Consultoria on Friday (28), pointed to a rise in the market for fat cattle in São Paulo. According to the analysis, "the market closed the week with an increase of R$ 2.00/@ in the price of heifers," while the prices of other categories resulted in daily comparison. The consultancy disclosed that the firmness was sustained "by the good demand for beef in the domestic market and the good export performance." Despite this, the advance in quotations found a limit in the supply of cattle, considered higher than expected for the period. The slaughter schedules met, on average, seven days, and "all prices were gross and with a term," the bulletin reported. In Mato Grosso do Sul, the more comfortable supply in some parts of the market led the industry to reduce the value offered per arroba, although the analysis classified the overall scenario as one of firmness in prices.
