The inaugural "Cheonan Byeongcheon Sundae Festival" kicked off, marking the beginning of a festival to promote the tradition and taste of Byeongcheon sundae, a local specialty. Organized and hosted by the Byeongcheon Sundae Alley Association, the event, being the first of its kind, was not large in scale, but the affection for sundae, a source of pride for Byeongcheon, was evident everywhere. On one side of the festival grounds, there were "Byeongcheon Sundae Tasting Corners," "Makgeolli Tasting Booths," and stalls selling "Sundae Bread" and "Sundae Stir-fry."
