The Protected Productive Landscapes (PPP) model was born in the ProYungas Foundation, an Argentine organization with more than two decades of experience in integrating conservation and development in productive territories. The initiative, which is applied in areas such as the sugar mills of northern Argentina or the subtropical forests of Misiones, now crosses borders and is being consolidated in Bolivia, where the pressure on forests turns every hectare into a battleground between production and conservation. In the eastern part of Bolivia, one of the most sensitive areas from an environmental and political point of view, this program attempts to shape a model that reconciles livestock production with forest conservation.
