The largest export of milk from Ukraine is to Poland

In 2022, Ukraine sent 63% of its dairy products to Poland from the total volume of exports, and in the previous year this figure was 51%. Other significant parts of the products are sold on the markets of the Balkans and in Romania. Small volumes of finished dairy products also go to Germany and the Baltic countries. Vasyl Vintonyak, director of Infagro, while discussing the changes in the dairy industry during the last two years of the war, said that from 2022 Europe has become a key market for Ukrainian dairy products. Before the war, exports to the EU were insignificant. The strongest trade ties have been established with Poland, although Poland exports more to Ukraine than it imports.
