In 2023, China emerged as the primary importer of Russian poultry meat and beef, with purchases reaching nearly 133 thousand tons and 21.5 thousand tons respectively. Iran led in importing Russian lamb, while Vietnam and Belarus were the top buyers of Russian pork. Kazakhstan was the largest buyer of finished meat products from Russia. The success of Russia's meat export is attributed to adherence to international standards, stringent quality control, and superior processing of the products.
