The total investment in the No. 2 production line reached over $100 million, achieving fully automated operation from cleaning, dehulling, pressing to leaching, and other stages. The application of intelligent sensors and near-infrared (NIR) analysis technology allows for full-process, continuous monitoring of product quality. This soybean crushing production complex is located in the Phu My 1 Industrial Zone, Phu My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, covering an area of 11.2 hectares, adopting international leading oilseed processing standards. The complex is equipped with 8 silos with a total capacity of 120,000 tons and, through an automated temperature and humidity control system, ensures stable and reliable raw material quality. With this scale, VAL has become one of the largest soybean crushing complexes in Southeast Asia, playing an important role in the strategic safeguarding of raw material safety for Vietnam's animal husbandry and food industries. When operating at full capacity, the two production lines can process up to 2.6 million tons of soybeans annually, producing nearly 2 million tons of soybean meal, equivalent to 30% of domestic feed demand. Locally produced products can reduce transportation time compared to imported products, increase customer autonomy, and keep the added value of the products within the country. Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Trung Tiến, said at the event that the inauguration ceremony demonstrated the confidence of international investors in the strong and stable development prospects of Ho Chi Minh City. The factory is expected to become a major agricultural product processing project in Southeast Asia, with a modern production line, meeting strict environmental standards, and aligning with the city's high-tech agricultural development direction. Mr. Nguyen Trung Tiến expressed confidence that, with its superior geographical location and the ability to provide approximately 30% of the soybean meal market for the animal husbandry industry, the project will play an important role in ensuring food security, reducing supply chain risks, and stabilizing animal husbandry costs. General Director of Vietnam Agricultural Products Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Minh Viet, said: "The completion of the No. 2 soybean crushing production line marks an important step in the company's long-term strategy to expand production capacity to meet the growing demand of domestic and international markets. This fully demonstrates the company's firm commitment to supporting Vietnam's animal husbandry industry and promoting the strategic goals of ensuring key raw material security for the country. As one of the largest integrated production facilities in Southeast Asia, and adopting advanced technology and a sustainable development strategy, VAL Company firmly believes that it will create real value for its partners and the community, contributing to the construction of a modern, autonomous, and sustainable animal husbandry industry."
