For 2025, the total allowable catch for fishery productions has been set at 3.615 million tons, an increase of 169.5 thousand tons from the previous year. The Far Eastern fishery basin will continue to contribute the majority of this catch, accounting for 95.7%. The main commercial fishery in the Far East, pollock, will have a TAC of 2.461 million tons, with Pacific herring and cod being other priority commercial fisheries. Additionally, quotas are distributed for industrial production, traditional fishing by indigenous peoples, scientific research, amateur fishing, and aquaculture.
