The Russian Ministry of Agriculture, in partnership with the United Grain Company and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Transport, has successfully completed a large-scale humanitarian project, supplying 200 thousand tons of wheat to the six poorest African countries. The initiative, which is a first for Russia, ran from November 2023 to February 2024. The beneficiary countries include Mali, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Eritrea, Somalia, and the Central African Republic.
