The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has stated that the country's lamb exports do not impact the meat's price due to low export volume. The department also highlighted that the recent price increase reported by RBC news agency is due to a tenfold rise in lamb exports to Iran, high logistics and slaughter costs, and a perceived domestic market shortage. In the past month, Russian agricultural organizations have produced two thousand tons of goats and sheep for slaughter and maintained a livestock of 3.1 million animals, satisfying the country's domestic demand.
