(Naju=Yonhap News) Reporter Jang A-reum = The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Rural Community Corporation announced on the 29th that they have secured a total of $1.92 million in export business agreements at the 2025 Riyadh Agricultural Expo in Saudi Arabia.
These agencies, along with 14 domestic agricultural machinery companies, operated the Korea Pavilion at the expo, which was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from the 20th to the 23rd.
The Korea Rural Community Corporation has been connecting domestic companies with purchasing companies in the Middle East and providing information on purchasing companies even before the expo.
As a result, 274 export consultations (worth $62.5 million) took place at the expo, and 12 business agreements were signed during this period.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Corporation had also dispatched a K-Agricultural Machinery Market Development Team to the United Arab Emirates in September, securing $2 million in export agreements, and are supporting domestic companies' entry into the Middle East market.
In November, they plan to set up a Korea Pavilion in Antalya, Turkey, to target the European market, focusing on smart agricultural technology.
