Interest in organic farming in the Yambol region is growing. This became clear during the information meeting of the national campaign "Calling: BioLogical," which was attended by Deputy Minister Yanislav Yanchev. The region allows for almost year-round pasture-based livestock farming. "The region raises 5,175 certified cattle and buffalo, which is 25% more compared to 2023. In sheep farming and goat farming, there is also an impressive growth – 1,028 certified sheep and 272 goats, which is almost a doubling compared to the previous year," explained Yanchev. According to him, there is also growth in organic bee families, which are 4,002, which is 14% more compared to 2023. In the Yambol region, there are 186 organic producers and 24,413.6 hectares of certified areas in 2024, with operators increasing by 19% in one year and areas by over 20%.
