Diego Quiroga, the National Director of Plant Protection of Senasa, has announced ongoing discussions with Chile's Livestock Agricultural Service (SAG) to expand market access and address health issues affecting both countries. These discussions aim to facilitate the export of various agricultural products from Argentina to Chile, including lemons, alfalfa bales, plums, cherries, and silo corn, while addressing the shared health concerns of the Fruit Fly, Lobesia botrana, and Drosophila. Quiroga remains optimistic, stating that significant progress in agreements for these products is imminent, which is anticipated to strengthen the trade and health partnerships between Argentina and Chile.
