During the first year of operation of the solar power plant at the "Agroprime Holding" fattening pig complex (Odesa region), it was possible to save about 6.2 million UAH compared to the previous period. This was written by Olexandr Budnik, head of the animal husbandry department of the "Agreen" group of companies, which includes "Agroprime Holding," in his column on Agrotimes. The 745 kW solar power plant was installed in December 2024. "During the day, its modules cover up to 45% of the enterprise's daily electricity needs, significantly reducing the load on external sources," notes Olexandr Budnik. "The peak load on the complex is 260-300 kW/h, so the surplus of generated electricity is sold to a wholesale buyer."
