The Association of Hungarian Meat Producers in Budapest reported an increase in the supply of Hungarian products in sought-after food supplies. A survey by Nébih found that Hungarian-owned stores carried an average of 80% Hungarian products. GfK Hungária Kft. noted a change in shopping habits during the epidemic, with customers buying less but spending more. The Hungarian Meat Industry Association anticipates a significant increase in pork prices due to rising costs, including wages. Tamás Éder emphasized the need for development support from the government to maintain competitiveness and suggested that higher-quality Easter products could still be made from pork processed before price increases.
