The article highlights the significance of the ASPCAT's role in ensuring the health standards of establishments exporting food products to third countries. This organization ensures compliance with the required health standards by these countries through regular system audits. Recently, audits were successful from governments of Mexico, South Korea, Singapore, among others, allowing continued exports. In 2023, Catalan agri-food industries exported food products worth 5,630 million euros, which is 25% of Spain's total, with meat and meat derivatives accounting for 1,766 million euros, or 46.5% of the national total.
