The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Sriwijaya University, Muslim, explained that Western countries are envious of Indonesian palm oil due to its remarkable efficiency and high production rates. Despite utilizing only 4.5% of the global land designated for vegetable oil production, Indonesia contributes 34.2% of the world's palm oil. This high efficiency, along with lower production costs compared to other oils like soybean and olive oil, makes Indonesian palm oil highly competitive. Furthermore, the industry supports 16.5 million workers and benefits 70.4 million people in Indonesia.
