The Region of Murcia exported 58% of its pepper production last year, making up 12.5% of Spain's total pepper exports. The main destinations were Germany, France, and Italy. The pepper is the second most important export for the region, accounting for 185.83 million euros. The sector focuses on sustainable and innovative production, using the latest technologies such as high-precision irrigation, biological control, and intelligent fertalization. There will be a II Gastronomic Day of Pepper in San Javier, featuring gastronomic demonstrations, tastings, live shows, children's activities, and a popular lunch and dinner.
