The Spanish water reserve fell for another week and stands at 52.1% of its total capacity, with 29,206 cubic hectometers (hm3) accumulated in the reservoirs, which represents a loss of 534 hm3 (1%) compared to the previous report. According to data from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (Miteco), the decrease occurs despite the fact that in recent days, precipitation has affected the Mediterranean coast "considerably" and the Atlantic coast "to a lesser extent." Still, the maximum precipitation occurred in Vigo, with 66.9 liters per square meter. The only two basins that increased their flow during the last week are those of the Segura, which increased by 1.1%, and the Júcar, which did so more modestly, by 0.2%. Those of the Basque Country remained at the same percentage of 76.2% from last week, as did those of Catalonia, at 74%.
