A new snail farm, named Snail Garden, has been established in the Stavropol Territory, Russia, with an initial production capacity of 100 tons of snails per year. The farm, which specializes in grape snails, saw its first harvest yield 6 tons of snail meat. The plan is to expand the greenhouse area to 5,000 square meters, further increasing production. The snails are currently being supplied to Moscow restaurants. The farm also collects snail mucin, a biotechnological product used in aesthetic medicine. The region plans to support the snail farming industry with grants and anticipates job creation, tax benefits, and high-quality protein production.
