The USDA Foreign Agricultural Service has reported a surge in exports of chicken, eggs, and turkey in the first half of 2021. Chicken exports hit a record 1,856,027 tons, with Cuba, the Philippines, and China seeing record levels in both volume and value. Egg exports also reached an all-time high of 98.6 million tens, particularly to South Korea. Turkey meat exports rose by 3.3%, largely due to increased shipments to Mexico, Benin, Peru, and South Africa.
