The price of table wheat in Hungary has surged from 50-52 thousand forints after the harvest to 73-75 thousand forints, forcing mills to raise flour prices again. The increase in prices is due to increased global demand for grain, with China and European crop losses being significant factors. As a result, Hungary's mills are struggling to source wheat and may face challenges in storing larger inventory. The current situation reminds of 2010-2011, when wheat prices also reached record highs.
