The Minister of Economy met with representatives of the peanut production and industry, as well as local officials, to discuss the high tax rate of 15% placed on peanut exports, which is the highest in the history of peanuts in Argentina and affects international competitiveness. The representatives emphasized that this tax will cause the loss of international markets to countries like the United States, Brazil, Nicaragua, China, and India. The industry is viewed as a high-quality, value-added food source that provides economic development and job opportunities in the region, mainly in the Province of Córdoba.
