The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan has reported a significant increase in the number of purebred cattle in the country, from 344.1 thousand in 2010 to over 1,128.6 thousand in 2022. The breeds include the Kazakh white-headed, Holstein, and Hereford. To further support the development of meat and dairy farming, the government has allocated 60 billion tenge in 2022 and over 70 billion in 2023. Additionally, subsidies are being provided for livestock farming, including payments for the purchase of breeding cattle from various regions including the CIS, Australia, North and South America, and European countries.
