In Puebla, Mexico, five Artificial Insemination Centers and Livestock Services have been launched in the Mixteca Poblana region to improve genetic quality in cattle, goats, and sheep, aiming for enhanced livestock production. The initiative is backed by donations of semen and supports the planting of 250 hectares of Mavuno grass, a drought-resistant species, to address fodder shortages. This undertaking is part of a broader project that includes the sowing of 48 demonstration plots to showcase the benefits of Mavuno Pasture and the modernization of farming practices through artificial insemination and embryo transplantation, with support from local farmers, producers, and technical services.
