In the administrative region of Frederico Westphalen, the climate remained favorable for cultivation, with a predominance of sunny days and light rains over the weekend. Planting has been completed, and the expectation is for an excellent harvest, given the forecasts of favorable weather conditions. The crops are in the cultural treatment phase, with nitrogen fertilization, weeding, and application of insecticides and foliar micronutrients. According to Emater, "there are no reports of diseases or pests" and the management of tobacco bud topping is being intensified. In the Pelotas region, transplanting activities of seedlings for the 2025/2026 crop are temporarily halted due to a lack of soil moisture. Nevertheless, the operation is close to completion, with approximately 90% of the area already transplanted.
