The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics reported a 0.41% increase in the Extended National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) in November, with key factors being climatic conditions and excessive rainfall in Curitiba leading to significant price increases in fruits and vegetables, especially tomatoes which saw a 13.64% rise. Seven out of the nine groups of products and services surveyed by the IBGE experienced price decreases in November, but not in the food category where onion and tomato prices surged the most.
